On Wednesday, May 30, the Union College Theater Department debuted their new show, “An Enemy of the People.” The show will be running through Sunday, June 3 in Yulman Theater.
As one man stands up as a “hero” for truth, the audience is invited to question who the real enemy is and what truth really reveals about society.
Guest directed by Marcus Dean Fuller, a director, writer and producer with over 20 years of experience on stage, film and television, the new translation of the 1882 play serves to show relevance and timeliness on the stage.
Tickets for the shows can only be purchased at the Yulman box office. The Yulman Theater box office hours are Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
General admission is $10 with the Union community has a discounted price of $7.
Professor Paul Walsh from Yale University, who translated the current version of the play, will be attending Thursday’s show to give a talk-back after the performance.
The Union College Theater Department looks forward to an interesting conversation with Walsh.
They also look forward to several outstanding performances of “An Enemy of the People.”
Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 2. There will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, June 3.
