Men’s Hockey is set to face rival RPI for two games this weekend. The first game will take place on Halloween night, Friday, at the M&T Bank Center, and the second will be at RPI on Saturday.
Union enters the weekend with a 4-0-1 record, coming off four straight wins against Mercyhurst and Niagara University. The team’s only shortcoming so far was a shootout loss to Army in the first game at the M&T Bank Center. Since then, Union has bounced back and started what looks to be a dominant season.
The team is currently led by senior forward Brandon Buhr ’26, who is Union’s leading goal scorer with four goals and two assists for a total of six points. Other key contributors include senior Parker Lindauer ’26, the team’s overall points leader with seven, and junior Tyler Dunbar, who has three goals and three assists for six points.
In goal, Michigan transfer Cameron Korpi ’28 has had a stellar start to the season, posting a 1.58 goals-against average and an impressive .923 save percentage.

On the other side, RPI enters the weekend with a 0-6 record and is still searching for its first win of the season after losses to Boston University, Miami University (Ohio), Boston College, Providence College, and Minnesota State University.
RPI is led by sophomore forward Filip Sitar, their top goal scorer with three goals. Other contributors include freshman forward Matthew Buckley and graduate student forward Luciano Wilson, each with three points. In goal, junior Bruno Bruveris has recorded a 4.20 goals-against average and a .845 save percentage.
Heading into the rivalry weekend, RPI looks to turn around its rough start with a statement win, while Union aims to continue its dominant early-season run.
