Union College student-athletes once again showed their success extends beyond competition after earning nine honors during the college’s annual Prize Day ceremony. Athletes from men’s crew, women’s tennis, football, and women’s lacrosse were recognized for accomplishments in academics, leadership, and campus involvement. The women’s tennis and men’s crew programs each earned three honors, continuing a strong tradition of academic excellence within Union Athletics.
The ceremony, held in Memorial Chapel, celebrated more than 100 students across the college and included remarks from President Kiss. The awards reflect the balance many Union student-athletes maintain between demanding athletic schedules and academic achievement.
The recognition also comes during a successful year for Union Athletics overall, with several teams reaching postseason play and athletes earning conference honors throughout the spring season.
Prize Day continues to serve as one of Union’s major academic traditions, recognizing students who have distinguished themselves throughout the year. For Union Athletics, the ceremony reflected the department’s continued emphasis on excellence in competition, academics, and campus leadership.
