What are your proudest accomplishments?

It is difficult to pinpoint one moment that I’ve been the proudest of. I am extremely proud of my growth as both a person and a leader during my time at Union. Each day I surprise myself and push myself beyond what I thought I could do. Half of the things I do on campus I never imagined myself doing or obtaining.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about sustainability, women’s rights and human rights. I think that women and indigenous people need to be at the center of our sustainability movement as they are not only the most affected populations but also the ones with the most knowledge of how to work with nature rather than against it.

Who do you look up to?

I look up to my friends. They are the ones that push me daily and tell me I can do things when I don’t believe in myself. I have learned how to be spontaneous and take advantage of every opportunity through them. They are also all amazing women in STEM, politics and soon to be the world.

What does being a woman at Union mean to you?

Being a woman at Union I feel empowered by the other amazing women on this campus. Through attending Women’s Union and PPGEN action meetings I feel a large sense of community and support. Being on the women’s crew team I have learned tenacity and resilience and seen first hand the amazing strength women have. Being a woman at Union is to be part of a network of strong, capable and talented women that help make our community a better, more inclusive space.
