The artist BBNO$ came to Union College on October 20, and performed in College Park Hall to a small but lively crowd. The artist is popular for his contemporary rap music and his song “Lalala” (2019). There was much anticipation for the event, but turnout for the concert was lesser than expected because Union’s Men’s Hockey team had their season opener at the same time. However, the concert still made for an engaging performance.
BBNO$ gave a remarkable performance in spite of coming to the concert all the way from Vietnam, and having a foot injury. Students enjoyed hearing both his songs, as well as comedy and other points of satire throughout the night. At the end of the concert, the artist gave Jack Sherry ‘24 a cookbook because it is a tradition at his shows.
“I have listened to some of his music. So I’m really excited for the show because I heard he’s a great performer,” Kayla Shapiro ‘24 remarked.
“I listen to a lot of his music. I am very excited for the show. He’s gonna be good. The flow and lyrics are good.” Luke Iwaki ‘26 said.
Even if the students didn’t like his music in particular, they were still captivated by an engaging and thrilling performance. Students can eagerly anticipate Springfest 2024 in April or May, when more artists will be brought to campus to perform.
