On Friday, Sept. 22, Union’s Association for Campus Events (ACE) student club hosted escape rooms in Old Chapel. There were three escape rooms that had themes from wizards to prisons.
In its second year, the event was a success and many students found it fun and rewarding to do the escape rooms and compete as a team.
“I think our group was super fun, and we had a great time… We all contributed greatly to its success,” said Ysabela Paneto ’26.
Other students had prior experience with escape rooms, but found the difficulty level and challenge of the Union ones particularly engaging.
“It was fun and more challenging than I expected it to be. It was more interesting the way they used the walls and stuff. Would do it again!” said Bela Eseinoza ‘27.
In addition to the rooms, there was cookie decorating and music playing.
ACE will continue to host events throughout the term, with the next one being a silent disco on September 29 at 9 p.m. in the Nott Memorial. Students can also join ACE to help plan these events, and the club has weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Reamer 406. Students can contact [email protected] if they are interested in joining ACE or another club.
